Immunity Boost

Another artical today we're going to be talking about five vitamins and supplements for boosting immunity and have a look at this these are the five supplements of iron i'm gonna talk about anastasia melatonin zinc vitamin d as well as vitamin c the first thing i'm going to talk about is melatoninso melatonin is a powerful powerful hormone whose production has is actually triggered by the brain by darkness and it signals that you need to sleep also has a role in your immune system and is known to produce sleep that also helps out in promoting immune system health now we don't really have lots of studies with regards to humans but there is a couple of my studies and they showed that it actually this melatonin actually has help in treating influenza and respiratory illnesses that's why people suggested that maybe yes hey we can choose this for the covet 19 virus that's what people are supposing but where is the evidence do we have any evidence i'm going to show you some evidence right now if you have a look at this this was a study done which showed let me go back over here melatonin usage actually reduced by 28 percent the likelihood of a positive laboratory test result of sarsou being positive so that is amazing almost a 30 reduction in the likelihood of testing positive for covert 19. furthermore have a look at this uh this is associated this is associated with a 52 reduced likelihood of positive laboratory test results for sars cove to an african americans so this is a pretty pretty significant um uh finding that we should uh keep in mind but more studies are surely needed and we this is definitely reassuring but we need to get more stories on this of course good sleep is always good and we all know um i actually talked about this in one of my previous videos that if you if you sleep well you have good natural killer cells in your body and those are the first line defense and if you don't sleep if you sleep less than let's say five to four hours for even a single night your natural killer cells density actually goes down by around 30 to 40 percent that is huge that is huge next vitamin i'm going to be talking about is gonna be vitamin d vitamin d i love it i have a whole video talking about the benefits of vitamin d with regards to infection but still i want to talk about this specifically regards to covet 19. and it has been shown that about 35 to 40 of us adults they have vitamin d deficiencies and this is actually higher in african americans and we all know that african americans seem to suffer more from kovac 19 and the death rate in african-americans is much more than the other other populous now there's some general evidence that vitamin d is effective and it has been shown that vitamin d supplements can actually reduce the severity of respiratory illnesses in hospitalized patients now do we have any specific evidence with regards to um covert 19 well this year last year actually uh there was a study that was produced and 20 european countries found a link between low vitamin d levels and higher percentage of covert 19 cases as well as mortality now that is huge in 20 countries the same result was found separate study um separate results actually showed that 80 percent of 200 people hospitalized with covert 19 actually in spain were found to have a deficient vitamin d and guys let me tell you straight i check vitamin d levels on all of my patients come to the hospital and i've actually found 100 of them to be vitamin d deficient and with this i have actually started to supplement all of my covert patients with vitamin d even before i have a confirmed that they're actually deficient in vitamin d specifically there was one trial that i'm going to be mentioning to you right now that actually showed that vitamin d was let's say there were about 26 patients in this group who were not given vitamin d and 50 patients were given vitamin d and all the 26 patients half of them were actually sent to the icu for being one reason or the other and actually two of them died but 50 of the other people who were given vitamin d only one went to the icu and no one in that group actually dies so that is a good news i'm going to share with you some of these studies because this this one article published last year the role of vitamin d in the prevention of coronovirus disease and again if you have a quick search of the literature you will see that there are so many studies that show that vitamin d can be effective role of vitamin d in preventing coping infection progression and severity again evidence that vitamin d supplementation could reduce risk of influenza and covert infections and uh that's so uh needless to say needless to say that this sunshine vitamin is important needless to say i do want more studies bigger studies and i'm pretty sure and i know a few studies that are still under process and should be helpful i actually personally take vitamin d because i had been deficient and also i would recommend anybody should if you don't have any real skin problems you can daily try to find some sunlight let's say 10 to 20 minutes a day that should certainly help you out moving forwards i'm going to be talking now about an acetyl cysteine or mac for short now so this is a precursor of a very good antioxidant especially in the liver called glutathione and this uh this neck and style cysteine we use in the hospital to loosen mucus in patients with copd or severe secretions a lot of patients have different types of problems and this comes to good effect this also used to treat tylenol toxicity and overdose when the liver is actually damaged we use this in the hospital a lot and has been known to be fairly safe it has also been known to have immune boosting effects and also known to suppress viral replication and reduce inflammation now there was a study done and it wasn't a big trial it showed that they had around 10 patients who were on the respirator and they gave anesthetic cysteine and it improved their condition when they stopped any style cysteine they started to deteriorate and when they gave it again they start to do better so some studies but we need more proof on an acetylcysteine um i've actually been taking this over over the past year with covid um and now i'm already vaccinated but so i've cut it down but i've taken anissa style cysteine but i want larger studies to be done on this now next i'm going to talk the last two are going to be zinc and vitamin c zinc and vitamin c these are supplements and vitamins and minerals that everybody everybody wants to know about what is happening i'm gonna talk about the latest research that happened with zinc and vitamin c let's have a look so let's talk about zinc first so zinc over the over the ages and times has been known to uh fight bacterial infections as well as viral infections and most people do get zinc plenty of it actually in their diet what has been actually known and found in laboratory tests is that it increases intracellular um when you have increased zinc in the cells they lead to impaired replication of our antiviruses and the sars cove 2 the covet 19 virus is one of the  corona viruses and zinc has been known to have some benefits in the similar class of viruses and the common cold type of viruses and it has naturally we have naturally linked that zinc may be uh used in the treatment of um covet and 19 but there have been very few studies to actually show efficacy some of the studies i'm going to mention right now show that the frequency of common colds was reduced and this was a survey study so surveys are not the best types of studies other studies have been done to evaluate vitamins um zinc and it has been more objective and it showed that the duration of cold symptoms can actually be reduced by about two days so that is definitely positive um i'm still looking for more more inform more information on zinc and to be honest i've used zinc and to me i normally get sore throats because i have some post nasal drip with some allergies and zinc seems to help me out the zinc lozenges i believe seem to help me out so i've taken it personally and i've also given it to people next is i'm going to talk about is vitamin c vitamin c is i think the most favorite vitamin that we all love to talk about and there are quite a few studies actually on vitamin c in the past and it has known to shorten the length of stay in the icu from respiratory illnesses as well as um people with septic shock which is a severe infectious reaction to the body where the patient is almost dying and the person would have died unless medical people and people in the icu don't treat the patient properly and this was given vitamin uh intravenously and in higher doses now there have been contrasting reports um some placebo control trials which which basically showed that they gave about 200 milligrams per day and it did not really um do much it may be prevented but after the cold symptoms were there it really did not do any any any difference and this was oral and they said that okay vitamin c may have some benefit in preventing some of these symptoms however it would not help in treating any of these symptoms however there were studies done which showed that if you give this to a vitamin c um certainly a slightly higher dose of vitamin c to people who are involved in more exertional physical activity such as marathon runners skiers and soldiers uh with in or in severe cold environments if you give vitamin c prophylactically and as a preventive measure vitamin c doses were given to these people from 250 milligrams to a thousand milligrams per day it ended up reducing cold symptoms by about 50 percent

so it seems like in when the body's really stressed vitamin c could have some benefits so um it's not that i take vitamin c regularly i pop a pill every now and then um especially when i know i'm going to be in the hospital and um i be i feel that okay let me just take it who knows it may help me out but of course studies are what is important and as i showed you about bloodletting early or early on in this Blog we need to have some studies otherwise anybody could say anything and and say okay fine just do this do that and blood do some perform some bloodletting and you should rid your coronavirus and get rid of the virus through the blood you know these things don't work so need to have studies but if you we don't have study that certainly does not mean that a thing is not um working but studies are always better so i'm going to talk about this trial that we mentioned early on this was done combined for zinc as well as vitamin c and they reduce the symptoms when they give combined vitamin c with zinc to these people and this was an outpatient trial let's have a look at this trial guys all right so effect of high dose zinc effect of high dose zinc and ascorbic acid meaning vitamin c supplementation versus usual care on symptom length and reduction in ambulatory patients ambulatory meaning outpatients which are covered to infection now what these people found this was a this is a reputable reputable journal the jama journal of the american medical association and they uh were trying to see what was happening in these outpatients the results did not show much benefit the question was do high-dose zinc high-dose ascorbic acid vitamin c or a combination of the to reduce the duration of symptoms of severe acute respiratory syndrome sars co-flu corona virus in this randomized control trial of 214 patients with confirmed source co2 infection receiving outpatient care there was no significant difference in the duration of symptoms among these to groups so again i mentioned above that vitamin c was seem to be more effective if you are a little sicker and it used to prevent a little bit um so these patients were actually patients who were not taking vitamin c before or we're not taking zinc before and they got sick and they generally had mild sickness so is this the bad spot to be taking vitamin c in your mild sickness it's not going to work that well is that the case but if you look at this if you look at the study they said usual care zinc vitamin c okay let me i think i missed it yeah if you go here if you see this graph if you see this graph here usual here vitamin zinc vitamin c and the combination of zinc and vitamin c over here hospitalization so i mean these numbers don't really matter too much because you know this is five seven three four patients over here and that's nominal deaths in this group of 214 people so can't really tell by this i can't really tell by by this study and does not answer the different questions that i posed a little bit earlier that is vitamin c only good for prevention or is it only good for severe diseases severe septic disease or other types of respiratory diseases including um including coved 19 another issue and people are putting a finger on at towards this study that hey there couple of limitations with your study vitamin c was um vitamin c that was tried previously and tested previously was an iv form vitamin c in sick severely sick patients and that was given in high doses and uh the proponents of zinc say that zinc you know zinc is good but there needs to be something that needs to make the zinc enter into cells and that those are called zinc ionophores and people have suggested and use things like avermectin or quercetin or hydroxychloroquine what they do is they actually help get zinc into the cells when they help zinc get into the cells then the zinc acts in preventing the replication of our antiviruses so uh it all in all i think um if there's no real harmful effect you can try a few things vitamin d has been proven varminty to me is much more of a strong much more of a strong vitamin to use it actually is a hormone people call it a vitamin but it actually is a hormone um but this is these were my thoughts and these were some of the latest information that we have coming out with regards to supplement juice and i try to go over the different details of such but again you do anything you got to do under the care of the supervision of your physician your physician knows about these things they can they can see what you need at a current situation but i want to talk about this let me know if you tried any of this before if you have any your own experiences let me know in the comments below if you have any topics for me to discuss on let me know about discussing these in the comments below as well anyways love to hear from you let me know i will talk to you guys soon.

thank you so much http://https://amzn.to/2U2N4PE
